Rock out at Brewtag with these 3 stellar local bands! Special thanks to Rock Star Booking for organizing this lineup.

UniS

A 3-piece original band from the shores of NC. Mixing melodic vocals with drum line inspired percussion, acoustic bass rawness, filling keyboard sounds and a fancy tuned guitar into tracks that are hard to put into one category. UniS delivers sounds of early nineties rock and grunge mixed with progressive-math-indie styles inspired by bands like Standards, Tang, and Covet with a hint of Rush thrown in the mix. In 2019 they delved back into their roots as songwriters releasing their first album “Coriolis Effect” in early 2023 and two singles “Tangerine Toes” and “Dream” in 2024. You can find them playing on stages across North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. Find more info here: https://linktr.ee/unis_band

Stereo in Words

Led by frontman Ben Saltzman (lead vocals, guitar, keyboard) and accompanied by Ian Conery (lead guitar, backup vocals), Ted Mitchell (drums), and Nate Stockley (bass, backup vocals), Stereo in Words is an original rock band whose music is heavily influenced by a shared love of the alternative indie rock of their youth. Together, they made their debut at the Rock the Cape Art and Music Festival in Hatteras North Carolina, on June 2, 2021, and have been rocking the free world ever since with original songs including Never Been Down, which Ben self-describes as “if Chris Isaak had a lot of piercings”, and Over and Under, which is about wonderful moments in time and being on the edge of the world and time while surfing. According to a recent article written about them, “no matter the subject or tone, each Stereo in Words effort shares similar qualities — rippling guitar riffs and melodic structures, dynamic movements and tight changes, heartfelt lyrics illustrated with dimensional imagery. And a distinct vision of how each note, beat and movement should sound.” You can find them locally at Art’s Place, Avalon Pier, Beach Bottle Shop, Blue Crab Tavern, Coastal Craving’s Tap Shack, Jack Brown’s Beer & Burger Joint, Outer Banks Brewing Station, Sanctuary Vineyards, Swellsa’s, The Roadside Bar & Grill, Turner’s HIgh Moon Bar, and Uncle Ike’s Sandbar and Grill.
