Rock out at Brewtag with these 3 stellar local bands! Special thanks to Rock Star Booking for organizing this lineup.
Originally formed in 1999 as a 4-piece band and laying down an album in 2000, Remedy played the OBX music scene for more than a decade. After a brief redirection writing new material, Erick Henry (vocals, guitar, keyboard) and Susan Henry (bass, backup vocals) decided to return to their roots and get back on the stage together. In 2019, Wes Perry (drums) joined the band bringing his solid beats and love for music. Their set list includes songs everyone knows as well as songs you forgot you remembered! Remedy will take you back to your high school days no matter what your age. New this year, they are bringing some original music to their lineup including some rhythmic, hard hitting, melodic tunes. They have performed locally at Avalon Pier, Bethel Fishing Center, Coastal Craving’s Tap Shack, Coinjock Marina, Fish Heads, Ghost Harbor Brewing Company, Hertford Bay Taphouse, Jack Brown’s Beer & Burger Joint KDH, Long Boards, Market Street Pub, Morris Farms, Outer Banks Brewing Station, Pailin’s Alley Collective, Sundogs Raw Bar & Grill, The Breeze Nightclub, and others.
Stereo In Words
Led by frontman Ben Saltzman (lead vocals, guitar, keyboard) and accompanied by Ian Conery (lead guitar, backup vocals), Ted Mitchell (drums), and Nate Stockley (bass, backup vocals), Stereo in Words is an original rock band whose music is heavily influenced by a shared love of the alternative indie rock of their youth. Together, they made their debut at the Rock the Cape Art and Music Festival in Hatteras North Carolina, on June 2, 2021, and have been rocking the free world ever since with original songs including Never Been Down, which Ben self-describes as “if Chris Isaak had a lot of piercings”, and Over and Under, which is about wonderful moments in time and being on the edge of the world and time while surfing. According to a recent article written about them, “no matter the subject or tone, each Stereo in Words effort shares similar qualities — rippling guitar riffs and melodic structures, dynamic movements and tight changes, heartfelt lyrics illustrated with dimensional imagery. And a distinct vision of how each note, beat, and movement should sound.” They have performed locally at Art’s Place, Avalon Pier, Blue Crab Tavern, Coastal Craving’s Tap Shack, Jack Brown’s Beer & Burger Joint KDH, Sanctuary Vineyards, Sundogs Raw Bar & Grill, Swellsa’s, The Roadside Bar & Grill, Turner’s HIgh Moon Bar, Uncle Ike’s Sandbar and Grill, and others.
The Ramble is a 4-piece band based in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Specializing in Blues, Rock, Funk, and Soulful melodies. Their repertoire varies from powerful original songs with extended improvised solos between the two guitar players; Bobby Soto, and Patrick Goller, to an Eclectic group of Deep track and well-known covers from bands like Led Zeppelin, and Pink Floyd, to Incubus, the Grateful Dead, and everywhere in between. Recently re-joined by original Drummer Myles Wood, and new bassist John Beaumont they put out a style and sound that is just straight ENJOYABLE. They have performed locally at Art’s Place, Avalon Pier, Blue Crab Tavern, Coastal Craving’s Tap Shack, Fish Heads, Jack Brown’s Beer & Burger Joint KDH, Sanctuary Vineyards, Sundogs Bar and Grill, Swellsa’s, The Roadside Bar & Grill, Turner’s HIgh Moon Bar, Uncle Ike’s Sandbar and Grill, and others.
